Ingredients

  • 8 ounces filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey optional
  • 2 –3 ice cubes optional
  • 1 –2 fresh mint leaves optional
  • 1 small pinch ground cinnamon optional
  • 1 –2 thin slices fresh ginger optional

Equipment

  • 1 tall drinking glass
  • 1 measuring spoon
  • 1 liquid measuring cup
  • 1 small spoon or stirrer
  • 1 citrus juicer, optional
  • 1 small knife, optional

Method

  1. Pour 8 ounces of filtered water into a tall glass.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar.
  3. Squeeze in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of honey, if desired.
  5. Stir thoroughly until the honey is completely dissolved.
  6. Add a small pinch of cinnamon or fresh ginger for extra flavor, if using.
  7. Add ice and fresh mint leaves for a chilled, refreshing drink.
  8. Stir once more and serve immediately.
  9. Important: Always dilute apple cider vinegar before drinking it. Avoid consuming undiluted vinegar because its acidity can irritate the throat and contribute to dental enamel erosion.

Notes

Start with 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar if you're new to its strong acidic flavor.
Use raw and unfiltered ACV if you prefer a cloudy vinegar containing the traditional “mother.”
Adjust the honey according to your preferred sweetness.
Sparkling water can replace regular water for a fizzy version.
Fresh lemon makes the drink brighter and helps balance the sharp vinegar flavor.
For a stronger ginger flavor, add freshly grated ginger instead of slices.
Serve immediately for the freshest taste.
Variations
Lemon Ginger ACV Drink: Add extra fresh lemon juice and 2–3 thin slices of fresh ginger.
Cinnamon ACV Drink: Add ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon for a warm, spiced flavor.
Mint ACV Drink: Add several fresh mint leaves and serve over plenty of ice.
Sparkling ACV Drink: Replace filtered water with chilled sparkling water and stir gently.
Low-Sugar Version: Skip the honey and use lemon, mint, ginger, or cinnamon for additional flavor.
Storage
This drink tastes best when prepared fresh. If you prepare a larger batch, store it in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator and consume it within 2–3 days. Stir or shake gently before serving.
